Non-discrimination policy
LUCTA-LA strongly believes in inclusion, diversity, and equality. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, nationality, sexuality, gender or gender identity, religion, disability, or any other characteristic in our employment practices, teaching practices, or any other part of our business.
Respect and dignity
Making art is already hard. We believe everyone deserves to do it in an environment that is safe, supportive, and respectful. In line with our values of inclusion and positivity, we pledge to treat all our students and artists with respect and dignity. In turn, we expect our students and instructors to adhere to these same values.
LUCTA-LA will not tolerate any acts of bullying, insults, harassment, bigotry, hate speech, threats, or any other behavior that goes against our values. If you see or experience anything that you believe is inappropriate while taking part in LUCTA-LA’s classes or other activities, please tell us by emailing [email protected]. We take these matters seriously and will fully investigate reports of untoward behavior. Students who do not act in a respectful and kind manner may be removed from classes.
Recording classes
LUCTA-LA records its live online classes (except in some specific cases) and makes these recordings available for a limited time to students who are enrolled in that class.
Absolutely no other recording, sharing, copying, or dissemination of class content, including videos, handouts, or live class sessions, is permitted. LUCTA-LA’s classes are available for registered students only. We appreciate your understanding!
Age limits
Unless otherwise specified, all classes have a minimum age requirement of 16 years.
For kids’ classes where a younger age range is specified, students must be the correct age to attend the class. Projects and lessons are designed for specific age groups.
If we have reason to believe that a student’s age is being misrepresented, we may request proof of age in order to continue taking part in classes.
Refunds, cancellations and transfers
We know that things are pretty crazy right now, and plans are apt to change – whether you want them to or not. That’s why we’ll offer a full refund to anyone who has to cancel their class before it begins, no questions asked.
Just email [email protected] before the class begins and we’ll issue a full refund.
If you take a class with us and you don’t like it, just email [email protected] within 48 hours of the first (or only) session of that class. Let us know that you weren’t satisfied, and you’ll be able to get a full refund, or credit towards another class.
We want to make sure we’re offering the best experience we can, so we’ll send you a link to a (very short!) survey so you can let us know what didn’t work for you. Once you’ve completed that survey – no matter what your answers were – we’ll issue the refund/credit as requested.
Liability
By registering for a class, enrollees agree to hold LUCTA-LA and its directors, officers, employees, consultants and volunteers, harmless from and against all claims, damages, losses, costs and other expenses that arise from activities in connection with being involved in the event or other activities related to the event.
